Movies?
Tuesday, August 7, 2007

Hmm... ran out of crap to crap about so I shall just blog about the 2 movies that I've watched recently. Its the first time watching 2 movies in a row, 1 after another and I've to agree that its tiring.

The Simpsons
I hated simpsons since I was young and I remember that everytime if theres simpsons showing on the TV I would definintely switch the channel. I dont know why but I hated simpsons alot, just dont like those yellow figures walking around, talking crap. But the movie change my perception towards the show, and I realise that I missed out lots fun amd kind of regretted it.

What I liked about the show, they included some new ways to catch the audience's attention, like the part where it says "to be continued" everyone in the cinema was like "HUH" and after that it says "immediately" that was like some small trick the movie director played on us, giving us a shock. Another thing I find it interesting was the small little advertisements showed during the show, its the first time I see advertisments appearing during the movie. Ultimately it was their joke and lamness that interest me the most.

What I disliked about the show, there elements of other movies being included in the show like the "Harry Potter" pig, "house of the dead" environment, etc. It'll be better if they come out with a story without any elements of other shows in it.

Afterall I find the movie was great and its been sometime a comedy with such quality appeared on the theatre.

Secret
Its the second movie that I've watched, being Jay Chou's first directed film I'm eager to know how the film turn out to be and did Jay Chou's acting improve as compare to the movie "curse of the golden flower" where I felt that his acting really *ahem*. As it was a love story, I wanted to know what was the storyline about and the process they went through before they got together as I believe that every love story is unique.

What I liked about the show, Jay Chou's acting did improve and the movie was nice, in the sense that the flow was smooth and the ending of the movie relates back to the happenings in the movie. The paino scene in the movie was nice and romantic and they could play the paino so well which was an eye opener to me.

What I disliked about the show, Theres too much animation used in the movie, would be better if animation wasn't used in the show, the movie would feel more natural and real.

Its a sweet and romantic movie and the music used perfectly suits the movie, with an unexpected twist in the movie really makes the movie interesting and you couldn't wait to find out whats the secret was and the ending of the movie. Its a movie that I dont mind watching the second time, and I mean it.

Alright, thats all for now, manage to kill my boredom successfully.
